Why LampLighter Ministries?

    Today's question is, "Why Lamplighter Ministries?" Beyond the obvious answer of "The Lord said so", we thought we would elaborate a little more.
       We have known Jim and Nancy Hester, the founders of LampLighter for more than a decade. They are a wonderful couple, with a wonderful family, totally dedicated to Jesus and seeing Him glorified in all the Earth. They have been sponsoring mission trips to Mexico for the better part of 20 years. They have invested countless time and money in these trips and the people there. Working in conjunction with Oasis in the Desert Church (http://www.lamplighterministries.org/Mexican_Churches/Welcome.html) and Big Heart Orphanage (http://www.lamplighterministries.org/Big_Heart/Big_Heart_Childrens_Home.html)they have built many houses, lead worship services, and served the community in so many other ways. Their vision is to see a "House of Prayer" built right there in the heart of darkness that can be a base, out of which will come prayer, worship and acts of biblical justice. Seeing prayers for the poor teamed with feeding, clothing, and sheltering the poor. Seeing prayers for salvation teamed with outreaches for salvation.
     As part of their vision to see Jesus spread to the world, they have a missionary in Uganda working with the widows and orphans. They routinely take mission trips there to do what they can to help her in her efforts.       A benefit of being under LampLighter gives us great accountability as to what is happening with our time and money. They make sure that we are staying focused on what we should be doing, making sure our resources are being used in the best way possible and making sure we are being safe in what we are doing. We get a tremendous benefit being under their leadership with their knowledge and experience being in missions.
      We believe they are doing a great thing, the Lord has lead us to them and we can't wait to begin working full time with them.
